Walter Carroll

Mr. Walter J. Carroll  age 78 of Lafollette passed away Wednesday,  January  7, 2014. He was a member, Deacon, and former Sunday school teacher at Elm Grove Baptist Church.  He was a 9 year U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and retired after 20 years of service from Y-12 in Oak Ridge.  Preceded in death by Parents, Walter R. and Myrtle Benge Carroll.

Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Peggy Carroll of LaFollette; Son, Danny Carroll of Knoxville; Daughters, Jana Carroll of Chattanooga, and Lisa Constance and husband Jerry, of Oak Ridge; Grandsons, Jordan Carroll, U.S. Air Force, stationed in Rapid City, SD, Dalton Carroll of Knoxville, and Noah Constance of Oak Ridge; Granddaughter, Hannah Constance of Oak Ridge; Brothers, Eddie, Robert, Bill, and Wayne Carroll; Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Saturday 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Russell and Rev. Hobart McCreary officiating.   Family and friends will meet Sunday 2 P.M. at Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment, with Military Honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M.
