Russell Eugene Morgan, Jr.

Mr. Russell Eugene Morgan, Jr., age 63 of Jellico, formerly of LaFollette passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He attended Forks Grove Baptist Church and was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. Russell was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who dearly loved to spend time with his family. For many years, he was employed as a ceramic maker, and previously worked as an electrician. He also loved playing guitar and constructing model airplanes. He is preceded in death by son, Shane Morgan, parents, Russell Eugene Morgan, Sr. and Sally (Bear) Morgan, and brothers George and Jeffrey Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lloyd) Morgan; three daughters, Dana Morgan (Mark Gibson), Jessica Morgan, and Theresa Morgan; his grandchildren, Brance, Brooke, Skyler, Tamery, Isaac, Tyler, and Jordan, and great—grandson Hardin; two brothers, Jimmy and Robert Morgan, and sister, Joy Morgan; long-time best friend, Bobby Weaver; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services to be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Billy Sanders officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 30, 2024, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graveside Services with Military Honors to be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.
