Lucille "Lou" Childs

Mrs. Lucille “Lou” Childs, age 92 of LaFollette passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. Mrs. Childs was of the Baptist faith, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J.C. Childs, Parents, Cecil and Georgia (Stiner) Berry, sisters, Faye Bean, Edna Bull, and Muriel Turner, and brothers, John and Leroy Berry.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Childs and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Cindy Perkey and husband, Jeff, and Sarah Marlow and husband, Zach; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Perkey, Brycen Perkey, and Logan J. Marlow; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 8:00 PM with Rev. Trevor Bean officiating. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment.
