Linda Jo Gossage Irwin

Mrs. Linda Jo (Gossage) Irwin, age 77 of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  She was of the Baptist Faith, was a Graduate of LaFollette High School, Class of 1965, attended Knoxville Business College, and worked as Office Manager for the State of Tennessee Community Services Agency.  Linda deeply loved her community, and was very passionate about her service to CASA, where she had previously served as Director.  She is preceded in death by Husband, Jerry David Irwin, Parents, Joseph W. and Oneida (Ridenour) Gossage, Nephew, Matthew Boyd Henegar, and Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Wheeler and Geneva Irwin, and her mini schnauzer, Fletcher.

She is survived by her Son, Todd Irwin and wife, Lesley; Beloved Granddaughters, Madelyn Irwin and Megan Irwin; Sisters, Peggy Henegar and husband, Boyd, and Kim Allen and husband, Todd; her special Labradoodle, Lucy; Nephews, Colby Allen and wife, Amanda, Tyler Allen and wife, Cheyenne, Scott Roy and wife, Teresa, and San San Crumley and husband, Richard; several Great Nieces and Great Nephews.  Linda had numerous friends who were more like family. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating. Family and friends will meet on Monday, June 3, 2024, 9:30 AM and proceed to Sunrise Cemetery for 10:00 AM graveside services and interment.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CASA of Campbell County, P.
