Julius Irvin

Mr. Julius B. Irvin age 78 of Speedwell passed away Monday, September 22, 2014, which which was his and his loving Wife, Ruth's 54th Wedding Anniversary.  He attended the Academy Baptist Church until poor health prohibited him from going to Church.  He was a retired Farmer.  Preceded in death by Daughter, Gloria Ruth; Grandson, Richard Dale Irvin; Parents, Alvie and Nellie Dyer Irvin; Four Sisters, Dorothy Irvin, Geneva Adkins, Bert Ausmus, and Nettie Paul; Two Brothers, Ralph Irvin and Clifford Irvin.

Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Ruth Irvin; Children, Larry Dean Irvin, Alvin Zach Irvin, Sherry Lynn Smiddy and husband, Danny, Danny Ray Irvin, Johnny Wayne Irvin and wife, Becky, and Bobby Joe Irvin and wife, Jennifer; Nine Grandchildren; Sisters, Ellen Williams and Betty Braden; Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will meet Thursday 10:15 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Ellison Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment with Rev. Gary Mundy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
