Judith H. Hill

Judith H. Hill age 88 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville

Judith was a skilled accountant who began her career at the Y12 Plant in Oak Ridge at the height of WWII.  She then became employed at McCulloch Transfer and Storage for Mr. Pete McCulloch where she remained for many years as his loyal secretary.  She also served as accountant for Lincoln Brass for many years after McCulloch's closed.  She also kept accounts for many small businesses in Lafollette.

She was a loving mother to her only son Andy Hill and grandmother to Adam Hill, both of whom she adored and spent her life dedicated to their well-being.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, William F. Hill, Jr., her mother Etta Mae McKinney, brothers, Charles and James Silcox, sisters, Jimmie Gail Ogg, Glenna Rayburn, Margaret Chapman, Jo Byrge and many loved nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her only son, James Andrew Hill of LaFollette and grandson, Jacob Adam Hill of Washington DC., her beloved brother, Paul F. Silcox, sisters, Bobbie S. Coffey, Georgie Mefford and Linda J. Price, all of Lafollette.

Also her loyal and supportive friend, Doris Duncan and the entire Duncan family whom she loved deeply.

Judy was a kind, beautiful lady who loved working and growing beautiful flowers and vegetables.  She never saw a stranger, never held a grudge but always saw the best in everyone she knew or met.

She will be so sadly missed but so lovingly remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Cordell officiating.   Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. before services.  Private graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Campbell County Cancer Association, P.O.
