J.T. Malicoat

Mr. J.T. Malicoat, age 83 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024. He attended High Street Baptist Church and always loved to tell someone about the Lord. J.T. was a former concrete worker and enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death by wife, Jewell Malicoat, parents, Mack and Maggie (Williamson) Malicoat, sisters, Mary Malicoat, Betty McCarty, Gladys Malicoat, Mabel Collingsworth, Irene Ford, Cloeva Boshears, and Christine Smith.

He is survived by daughter, Beverly Adkins (Randall); sons, Darryl Malicoat (Sandra Wells), Lloyd Malicoat, and Eric Malicoat; grandchildren, Dereck Adkins, Randy Adkins, Bethany Connatser, Meredith Whitt, Brent Malicoat, and Jacob Rose; Great-Grandchildren, Adalyn, Taylon, Carson, Journey, Gabe, and Kinsley; sisters, Patsy Chapman, Alice Chapman, and Aileen Heatherly; special nephew raised as a brother, Ronnie Malicoat; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. James Adkins officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. J.T. Malicoat.
