Mr. John Luke Sharp , age 88 of LaFollette passed away Monday, January 12, 2015. He attended Stinking Creek Baptist Church, was a retired coal miner, truck driver, and operated School Bus #19 for the Campbell County School System for many years. Preceded in death by Wife, Lorene Sharp, Parents, Robert and Linda Rookard Sharp, Brothers, Rev. Joe Sharp and Raymond “Wink” Sharp, and Sister, Opal Baird.
Survivors: Children, Connie Justice and husband, Eugene, Darrell Sharp and wife, Gina, and Jeannie Ray and husband, Mike; Three Grandchildren, Alex “Skeeter” Housley, Derrick Sharp, and Dawson Sharp; Great Grandchild, Kallie Housley. Special friend, Marshall Bolton. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Thursday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cox, Rev. Donald Shown, Rev. Pat Ayers, and Bishop Delmus Bruce officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday 10 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Hall Cemetery for graveside services and interment with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 154 Honor Guard.
