James Lee Day

Mr. James Lee Day age 90 formerly of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.  He was born January 3, 1926, in Harlan, KY and was a Christian, and of the Baptist Faith.  Retired Engineer from T.V.A.  Preceded in death by Wife, Jewell Ellison Day, Parents, James and Rebecca Day, Sisters, Linda Butcher, Opal Day, Gracie Hembree, Christina Day, and Mary Sweat, Brothers, Sherman Day and Bobbie Day.

Survivors:  Daughters, Joyce McEntire, Emily Plunk and Husband, Wes, Greta Day and Husband, Robert Pugh, and Stacey Daugherty and Husband, Chris; Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Samantha Daugherty, Maggie Jewell, James David, Mylee Beth, and Molly Kate Plunk. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Friday 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Tullock officiating.  Family and friends will meet Saturday 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery & Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M.
