Herman Bolton

Mr. Herman Bolton, age 82 of the Stinking Creek Community passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. He attended Stinking Creek Baptist Church, and was long-time member of Jellico Masonic Lodge, # 527 F & AM. Herman’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, and loved to watch basketball, especially when his Grandchildren were playing. He took great pride in his work, whether it was construction, drywall, painting, or even his garden at home. Preceded in death by Wife, Mrs. Virginia Bolton, two Infant Children, William Scott Bolton and Melissa Ann Bolton, Parents, William Frank and Onie (Baird) Bolton, and Sisters, Deloris Bolton, Lousie Wells, and Dorothy Baird. 

He is survived by Sons, Brad Bolton and Wife, Veronica, and Marshall Lee Bolton; Beloved Grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Bolton and Fiancé, Will Chambers, Kelly Jo Bolton, and Carson Lee Bolton; Special little buddy, Bently Walden; special family friends, Kevin Branam and family; Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Nurses and Staff of Beech Tree Rehabilitation Center in Jellico for their excellent care and concern for Herman, who they loving referred to as “Papaw”. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Beginning at 7:00 PM, Masonic Rites will be conducted by Jellico Masonic Lodge, #527, F & AM. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. Mike Grooms and Bishop Delmus Bruce officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, November 7, 2024, 10:00 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Melvin Cemetery from 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment.
