Dwight Crutchfield

Mr. Dwight Crutchfield, age 76 of LaFollette, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ more than anything. For more than 20 years, Dwight proudly served in the US Army and US Army National Guard 278th Armored Calvery Division, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sargeant. After completing his service in the armed forces, Dwight was employed as a Registered Land Surveyor in the area for more than 20 years. If looking for him, he could always be found somewhere looking for those “lost pins and corners.” 

He is preceded in death by Parents, Bob and Bobbie Lee (Sparks) Crutchfield, and brother, Darryll Crutchfield. 

Dwight is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan (Miller) Crutchfield; his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Casey Hatmaker; and sister and brother-in-law, Starlett and Dick Sterkel. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends. 

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dwight’s long-time friend, Joe Johnson, and neighbor, Lana Bishop.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in LaFollette, TN with Military Honors to be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Dwight Crutchfield.
