Donnie Milton

Mr. Donnie Milton, age 83, of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Donnie was born and raised in Duff and grew up attending Woodson Gap Baptist Church, the church his father helped build. He joined the US Navy in 1959 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam era as an Aviation Structural Mechanic and volunteered as a member of the Underwater Demolition Team. Donnie loved construction projects and acquiring the new tools needed to accomplish those jobs. He also enjoyed tending to his garden and fishing. He was an avid family man, that placed his children, siblings, and close family before anything else. His favorite pastime, however, was spending time with his grandchildren and sharing in their lives.

Preceded in death by Daughter, Debbie Milton Johnson, Grandson, Phinaes Willets, Parents, Rev. Robert E. Lee Milton and Pearl (Chadwell) Milton, Brother, Ronnie Milton, Sisters, Rita Sue Milton, Iva Queener, and Bobbie Loomis. 

Donnie is survived by his Children: David Milton and Wife, Dianna, Natasha Johnston and Husband, Robert, Felicia Willets and Husband, James, and Robert Milton and Wife, Lawanda; 11 Grandchildren: Danielle, Drew, Dakota, Donnovan, Milo, Max, Bellatrix, Athena, Lennox, Emelious, and Alfina; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Lizzie and Riley; Sister, Shirley Prandini and Husband, Paul; Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services to begin at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and then proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment with Military Honors conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Donnie Milton.
