David Chapman

Mr. David H. Chapman age 81 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  He attended Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Wal-Mart Grocery Department.  David was an active member of the Campbell County Cancer Association and was instrumental in beginning their annual telethon that has raised much needed funds for Campbell County area cancer patients.  He also prepared Thanksgiving meals for the March of Dimes.  Preceded in death by Wife, Betty Mae Heatherly Chapman, Parents, John Harley and Sue Goins Chapman, and Brothers, Marvin and Roy Chapman.

Survivors: Sisters, Naomi Robbins, Ruth Lower, Faye Wimberly, Geraldine Bourff and husband, M.C., Darlene Rains, Anna Rains, Joyce Ayers, Charlotte Miller, and Marie Morris and husband, Don; Brothers, Everett Chapman and wife, Margaret, and Silas Chapman and wife, Linda; Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Saturday, September 10, 2022, 3:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Russell and Rev. Mike Smith officiating.  Interment to follow at Powell Valley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Saturday before funeral services.  The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to a cause dear to David’s heart, the Campbell County Cancer Association, P.O.
