Mr. Clarence “Bass” Bolton , age 83 of the Stinking Creek Community, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was a member of Stinking Creek Baptist Church, Past Master of Jellico Masonic Lodge #527 F. & A.M., and a Member of Knoxville York Rite Bodies. He was a Master Fisherman, and how he received his beloved nickname, “Bass”. He was a retired Teacher and Tradesman, a former Campbell County Commissioner, and served many years and was one of the founding members of the Mountain Heritage Community Club. Preceded in death by wife, Emily Ray Bolton, Parents, Thomas and Lydia York Bolton, and Fourteen Brothers and Sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Pamela Hutson and husband, David; Son, Clarence Duane Bolton and wife, Johanna; Grandchildren, Joshua Hutson and wife, Tracy, Christy Wallen and husband Chris, Lori Brown and husband, Clyde, and Amy Moser and husband, DeWayne; Eleven Great-Grandchildren, and one more on the way; Special Niece, Bennie Currin and Special Nephew, Ronnie Bolton. Several other Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Monday 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Delmus Bruce, Rev. Lynn Ray, and Rev. Chris Wallen officiating. Masonic Rites will be held at 6:45 P.M. conducted by Jellico Masonic Lodge #527 F. & A.M. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:45 P.M. Monday before services. Family and friends will meet Tuesday 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Hall Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
