Carole Ann Hall

Mrs. Carole Ann Hall, age 86 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  Carole Ann was a long-time and devoted member of East LaFollette Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed fellowship with the Jolly Hearts, a senior adult ministry group. Carole Ann was proud to have been the winner of a contest at church when her submission, "Jolly Hearts," was chosen for the new senior adult ministry group.  In her younger years, she enjoyed working with her co-workers who became like family at Cove Lake State Park Restaurant and later in life, serving the children in the cafeteria of East LaFollette Elementary School.  Carole Ann loved to crochet and each member of her family had custom items created by her, as did many members of our community.  She also loved to cook, her chicken and dumplings were a family favorite.  However, her true joy in life was being with her family and friends and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren growing up.  Preceded in death by first Husband, Lester Damon Suttle in 1964, second Husband of 45 years, Edmund Lee Hall, Daughter, Angela Marlene Suttle Hatfield, Parents, James Nowell and Margaret Luella Smith Porter, Step-Mother, Cora Lee Chitwood Porter, Sister, Priscilla Beverly Porter Paik and Husband, Youngchan Paik, Step-Sister, Nancy Chitwood, Son-in-law, Charles Johnson, and several Aunts and Uncles.

Survivors: Daughters, Leslie Ann Suttle Johnson and Carmel Edmunda Hall; Grandchildren, Nowelle Miller and Husband, Robert, Damon Johnson and Wife, Gillian, Hillary Smith and Husband, Stephen; Great-Grandchildren, Leah Miller, Grayson Smith, and Harper and Callum Johnson; Special Nephew and Nieces, David Paik, Lauren Paik, and Margaret Thwaites; Several Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, and many beloved family members and friends.  

Funeral Services Saturday, November 18, 2023, 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zach Lloyd officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday before funeral services.  Family and friends will meet Sunday, November 19, 2023, 1:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services and Interment.
