Carl G. Lipps

Mr. Carl G. Lipps age 81 of LaFollette passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.  He was of the Baptist Faith, a U. S. Navy Veteran, a Mason, and member of Nolan Masonic Lodge in Pine Mountain Settlement School, KY.  He worked for Blue Diamond Coal Company for 42 years, was a Kentucky Colonel, and an avid reader.  Preceded in death by parents, George and Sophie Bowling Lipps.

Survivors:   Wife of 58 years, Thelma Lipps; Two Sons, Tim Lipps and Jamie Lipps; Two Grandsons, the love of his life, Sean Lipps and Michael Lipps; Brother Bill Lipps.  Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Monday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merle Caudill and Rev. Danny Wilson officiating.  Family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 7:45 P.M. with Masonic Rites at 7:45 P.M. conducted by Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F.&A.M. before funeral services.  Family and friends will meet Tuesday 9:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery & Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment with Military Honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Campbell County Cancer Association, P.
