Carl Clear

Mr. Carl E. Clear age 86 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015.  He was a retired Coal Miner and owner of Carl Clear Coal Corporation.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of Jellico Masonic Lodge #527 F. & A.M., Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, Campbell County Scottish Rite Club, A Shriner and member of Knoxville Kerbela Temple.  He was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church, and a member of Speedwell Volunteer Fire Dept.  Preceded in death by Wife of 61 years, Hazel Clear on January 5, 2015; Parents, Herbert Clear and Flossie Baird Clear; Sister, Lois Leach.

Survivors: Daughter, Susan Dunaway and Husband, David, of LaFollette; Son, Robert Clear and Wife, Becky, of LaFollette; Grandchildren, Chad Clear and Wife, Heather, Summer Zechinni and Husband, Bobby, Justin Clear and Wife, Lissa, Jessica Cain and Husband, Michael, Wesley Stanfill and Wife, Miranda, Daniel Stanfill and Wife, Rebekah; Fourteen Great-grandchildren; Sisters, Loretta Klepinger and Geneva Teague; Brother, Bobby Clear and Wife, Shelby; Several Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives, Close and Special Friends.

Funeral Services Sunday 2 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hobart McCreary and the Family Grandchildren officiating.  Interment to follow at Campbell Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #154 Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Saturday at Walters Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7 P.M. conducted by Jellico Masonic Lodge #527 F. & A.M.  The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made: East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, c/o E.T.C.H., P.O.
