Mrs. Billie Rogers Carson , born November 21, 1928, of LaFollette, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.  She was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church and of the Joy Sunday School Class.  Billie retired from South Central Bell and was a member of The Telephone Pioneers of America.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joe Carson, her parents, R.L. Rogers and Sadie Cunningham Rogers, and her siblings, Richard, Gerald, Dorothy, Mary Alice, Bobby, and Jimmy.

She is survived by her sons, Joe Richard Carson and wife, Kelly Goodwin-Carson, and Timothy Carson and wife, Karen Carson; grandchildren, Melissa Carson, Amanda Carson Smiddy and husband, Slade Smiddy, Steven Carson and wife, Kellie Carson, Sarah Carson Curtis and husband, Dustin Curtis, and Tanner Carson; great-grandchildren, Carson and Chloe Smiddy, Lilah, Doak, and Ellah Curtis. Several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and interment Saturday, April 10, 2021, 2:00 P.M.  at Powell Valley Cemetery & Memorial Gardens.   The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., P. O. Box 10088, Knoxville, TN  37929-9910 or at alztennessee.org.  Online condolences for Mrs. Carson may be made at www.waltersfuneralhome.net.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Billie Rogers Carson.
