Asbel Adkins

Mr. Asbel Adkins, age 81 of LaFollette, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law.

Asbel is survived by his 5 children: Asbel Adkins, Jr and wife Jamie, Wilma Nelson and husband Danny, Donna Zemlick and significant other Wayne Hensley, Judy Moss and husband Daniel, and Julie Walden and husband Mike (Bubba); Significant other, Mallie Mitchell, and her family including four children, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 10 grandchildren-Hannah Adkins, Brandy Nelson, Shanna Adkins, Stephanie Nelson, Christopher Zemlick and significant other Kayleigh Wood, Megan Swafford and husband Justin, Desaray Ingram and husband Jesse, Jonathan Adkins, Jacob Moss, and Eli Bruce; 10 great-grandchildren-William, Kira, Taylor, Katie, Dillon, Tessa, Gabe, Lorelei, Michael, and Jaxon; and many other family and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to his caregiver Lesia Heatherly, the staff of Tennova North Medica Center and Tennova Hospice Care, and to Walters Funeral Home.

The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Asbel Adkins.
